The new commissioners fill seats left vacant by Marla Blowers and Glen Kramer

A former San Jose city staff member and a longtime Newark resident have been appointed onto the Newark Planning Commission, according to city officials.

City council voted to authorize Mayor Al Nagy to appoint Michael Hannon and Debbie Otterstetter to fill commission seats left vacant with the resignations of Marla Blowers and Glen Kramer, respectively, said City Clerk Sheila Harrington.

Blowers' term ended in December, and Kramer resigned with three years remaining on his term, according to city documents.
