Two Teens Arrested After Strong-Arm Robbery

Police said a group of six robbed a woman of her purse in front of a grocery store.

Police arrested two teenagers after officers responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery Wednesday night, according to a report from the Newark police.

A group of six teenagers, described as between the ages of 16 and 18, were reported to have robbed a woman of her purse at the on the 35200 block of Newark Boulevard, police said.

The woman was not injured.

The group of teens were seen fleeing over a fence toward Lido Boulevard and police set up a perimeter and spotted them again on on Mirabeau Drive, police said. Officers then found two minors, ages 14 and 16, hiding under a boat parked in the driveway of a home.

The pair was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and delaying an investigation. No other arrests have been made.
