Police Log: Car Crashes into Teen's Front Bedroom

Also in this week's police log: Robbery reported at Bridgeport Apartments.

A summary of calls made to Newark police from April 23 to May 1.

Incidents
Police are looking for someone who crashed a car into a home on the 36600 block of Leone Street on May 1. No injuries were reported, and the suspect fled from the scene. The driver drove the car away from the home and left the vehicle at Zulmida Avenue and Jennifer Street. The car entered the front bedroom of a 13-year-old girl. She was not injured, but her bed was pushed deeper into the room.

Drugs and Alcohol
A 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) at 3:26 a.m. April 25.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs April 23 in a residence on Spruce Street. Police said he was in possession of brass knuckles, a handgun and cocaine.

Theft
A 33-year-old Fremont man was arrested in connection with a report of a stolen vehicle after an officer stopped him on Oleander Street.

Newark police responded to a report of a robbery on April 24 at the Bridgeport Apartments off Haley Street. Police are still searching for the man, who was described as a white male in his early 20s with a small goatee. He was said to be carrying a knife.

Two men on Mahogany Place. The two are identified as Emmanuel Gutierrez, 19, and Stephan Lopez, 21. They are both believed to be Newark residents, according to police.
