Violence and Disturbances
A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest after police responded to the 7900 block of Sunset around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 to a call of a disturbance. Police said the man charged through them. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
A report of an assault with a deadly weapon occurring on Marguerite Drive was called into the Newark Police Department around 8:55 p.m. on Oct. 9.

A report of a burglary at was called into the Newark Police Department around 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 9.
A 50-year-old woman was arrested and cited on suspicion of theft at at the NewPark Mall on Oct. 8.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and a parole violation at on Oct. 8. He was booked into Fremont Jail.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and selling ammunition to a person under the age of 21 at on Oct. 8. He was booked into Fremont Jail.
A report of a burglary on Sycamore Street was called into the Newark Police Department at 8:27 a.m. on Oct. 7.
A report of a burglary on Mowry Avenue was called into the Newark Police Department at 5:22 p.m. on Oct. 6.
A 44-year-old woman was arrested and cited on suspicion of theft at JC Penney on Oct. 6.
Two burglaries were called into the Newark Police Department on Oct. 5 — one around 7:20 a.m. on Stevenson Boulevard and one at 9:20 a.m. on Mowry Avenue.
Drugs and Alcohol
A 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and a syringe and a warrant. She was booked into Fremont Jail.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at Dairy Avenue and Leone Street. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
A 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public on Thornton Avenue on Oct. 6. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a syringe on Oct. 5 on Shady Hollow Drive and Braidburn Avenue. He was booked into Fremont Jail.
A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at Ruschin Drive on Oct. 5. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
