National Night Out: Where to Celebrate

Millions will join together nationwide to participate in the 28th annual National Night Out. 

Last year, more than 37 million people in 15,000 communities participated in the event that is meant to promote crime and drug prevention.

In Newark, five neighborhoods will be hosting formal National Night Out events, beginning at 6 p.m.

• Beech Place, off Buckeye Place (when coming from Mayhews Landing Road)
• Calais Place off Toulouse Street (which is off Hayley Street)
• Campunula Court off Birch Street (which is off Central Avenue)Lakeshore Park Boathouse Area on Chelsea Avenue, off Edgewater Drive
• The 35800 block of Ruschin Drive (an informal event)
