Four Vehicles Stolen Within 10 Hours

Four cars were reported stolen on Thursday. Two occurred within one hour of each other in the morning – one on the 8100 block of Pebble Beach Avenue around 9:30 a.m. and the other on the 36400 block of Buckeye Street around 10:30 a.m.. The other two occurred within 20 minutes of each other. The first was reported missing around 7:20 p.m. on Amador Place and the second was reported around 7:40 p.m. on Bueutke Drive.

Man Crashes Into Light Pole with Stolen Car

A 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday on several charges after he ran several stop signs and ended up colliding with a curb and crashing into a light pole around 2 a.m., police said. Police were attempting to pull him over when they learned the car he was driving had been reported stolen earlier that day. The man did not pull over and instead sped off, ran stop signs and then crashed into the light pole. He was booked into Fremont Jail. to read the original report.

Man Steals Fragrances from Mall

A 31-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after police were called around 3:40 p.m. and told that a man had stolen fragrances from at the and ran away from security. Police said they found the man after he was seen running across Mowry Avenue toward . The Fremont man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools and being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

Burglary and Theft

A 49-year-old Union City woman was arrested on suspicion of burglary and three warrants after officers responded to Macy’s at to a report of a theft around 7:20 p.m. on Friday. She was booked into Fremont City Jail.

A stolen vehicle out of Hayward was located on Crestmont Drive around 9:40 p.m. Thursday.

Police officers went to the 6300 block of Baine Avenue to locate a Newark man wanted on warrants connected to grand theft and possession of known stolen property amounting to more than $400. Officers located the 49-year-old man and arrested him. While making the call, officers also arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of being under the influence.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested and cited on suspicion of shoplifting and embezzlement at ’s around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

A stolen vehicle was located on the 6300 block of Potrero Drive around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police investigated a home burglary that occurred on the 5600 block of Byington Drive some time between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday. Police said jewelry was among the items that were stolen from the home.

Drugs and Alcohol

A 25-year-old Newark man was arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs during a bicycle stop in front of on Thornton Avenue around 11 p.m. on Sunday. He was booked into Fremont City Jail.

A 48-year-old Newark woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after officers reported to a report of a woman wondering in the street near around 7:50 p.m. Sunday. She was booked into Fremont City Jail.

A 20-year-old Newark man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at Birch Street near Cedar Boulevard around 12:40 a.m. He was cited and released.

A 23-year-old Newark man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license around 12:15 a.m. Saturday on Thornton Avenue at Sycamore Street. He was booked into Fremont City Jail.

A 28-year-old Menlo Park man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after officers responded to the 37100 block of Spruce Street around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a disturbance.

Miscellaneous

A hit-and-run collision occurred at the 35600 block of Haley Street around early Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported.

A 37-year-old homeless man was arrested on suspicion of having an outstanding parole warrant for auto theft after police responded to the front of around 2:20 p.m. on Monday. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
