Week in Review: Pot Club Re-Opens, Pair of Armed Robberies, New Restaurant Owners Talk Business

A controversial cannabis club in Newark re-opened late this week after more than a month of being closed. NBD Cannabis Collective was shut down that resulted in the arrest of the club's owners. On Thursday, a representative with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that . Details of those charges have yet to be released.

Newark residents learned early this week that on Monday night. Police are still searching for a man after a report of an armed robbery at the at 5895 Stevenson Blvd. and are investigating an armed robbery reported out of at 5724 Thornton Ave.

The Newark Unified Board of Education voted to ask for voter approval of a $63 million bond measure. The bond issuance would go toward improvements and upgrades of school facilities. to read more about the bond measure.
