Cats Available for Free at NewPark Mall
A weekend pet adoptathon brings cats looking for homes at NewPark Mall
If you’re looking for a cat to take home and cuddle, you may want to head down to the where a pet adoptathon is being held this weekend.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and will be held by Fremont-based Purrfect Cat Rescue.
Purrfect Cat Rescue’s event is part of a regionwide adoptathon in which more than 40 shelters from Alameda and Contra Costa counties are bringing cats and dogs to various locations to be adopted.

The adoptathon is sponsored by Maddie's Fund, a non-profit that aims to make pet adoption easy in order to avoid the unnecessary euthanization of animals.
