Mayor Alan Nagy, Washington Hospital staff and Newark community residents will gather at city hall to light a holiday tree.  The event will feature a special holiday performance by the NMHS Choir. Find details here.

Place non-perishable food & new unwrapped toys curbside in Newark.

Jan Small Comes to NewPark Mall

Newark Memorial High School Hosting Fundraiser/Art Show

Newark Memorial High School’s Art Department is hosting an event in December to raise money for school supplies.  

The “ART/Draw Fundraiser” will feature art created by students. The art will be on display in the library on December 5. Click on the headline for more details.


Actors Create New Interpretation of Midsummer Night’s Dream

Irvington Conservatory Theatre is proud to present William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Valhalla Theatre in Fremont. This production of Shakespeare’s classic tale of enchanted lovers and mischievous fairies has reset the story from Greece to the forests of Ming Dynasty China (1368-1644 AD). Details here.

Discover Container Gardening With California Natives

Learn how to create miniature landscapes using California native plants with Pete Veilleux, owner of the landscape company East Bay Wilds. After the workshop, there will be an opportunity to purchase plants and containers to make your own landscapes, perfect for holiday giving.
