Heads up! Here are five events taking place this week that you don’t want to miss.

Enroll in Child Care Center, Receive One Week Free

Enroll in the City of Newark's Preschool and Child Care Center between now and Aug. 30 and receive one week free, plus no registration fees. The program, held at the Newark Community Center (35501 Cedar Blvd.), provides affordable and childcare with a curriculum that includes individual and group activities, kindergarten preparedness, art, music and movement, science, computers and outdoor playtime. Music at The Slice

Catch the Tablues Wednesday night at Love at First Slice Pizza in Newark (36601 Newark Blvd.). The blues band feature Dan Gorrel on guitar, Steve Schaefer on bass, Kevin McNair on drums, Mark Rickey on keyboards and Deb Devany on vocals. The show starts at 7 p.m. As usual, the concert is free and all music lovers are welcome.

Free "Flex Your Faith" Fitness Class

Get a physical and spiritual workout at the free "Flex Your Faith" fitness class on Thursday at 6 p.m. at 7160 Graham Ave. in Newark. The program runs participants through a challenging workout while using Christian music and messages to guide them through exercises. 

Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church Yard Sale

Join Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church (35660 Cedar Blvd.) this Saturday at their first annual yard sale event. There will be clothes, books, furniture and more up for grabs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food will also be available in exchange for donations.

Niles Antique Faire and Flea Market

Downtown Niles will transform into a bargain hunter's paradise this Sunday with more than 200 vendors selling collectibles, arts, crafts, food and much more. The 49th annual event will be held all day, starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. and will be held along Niles Boulevard between G and J streets.
