Tri-City Volunteers Needed at Food Bank

Fremont food bank calls for weekday volunteers.

The Tri-City Volunteers Food Bank is looking for volunteers, according to representatives with the Alameda County Community Food Bank.

Volunteers are needed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Fremont food bank. The main tasks are to sort and bag food, as well as assist in loading vehicles.

The food bank provides Tri-City residents with a variety of food items. The food bank currently serves families whose household income falls below 50 percent of the medium income within the county.

The food bank, at 37350 Joseph St., Fremont, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm., and is closed from noon to 1 p.m.
