More Food Needed For LOV-ing Thanksgiving

The Tri-Cities League of Volunteers is asking residents for donations for an upcoming holiday dinner.

With only two weeks left until Thanksgiving, the members of Tri-Cities League of Volunteers (LOV) are asking Newark residents for their help to gather enough food to feed the hungry.

Executive Director Shirley Sisk said the organization needs 300 turkeys for its Thanksgiving Day Meal program.

In 2011, Tri-Cities LOV served 4,550 meals through the Thanksgiving Day Meal program.
