Fremont Festival Brings Art, Wine and Music to Tri-Cities this Weekend

The two-day Festival of the Arts event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in central Fremont on Saturday and Sunday.

For the 29th year, streets in central Fremont will close as thousands gather to celebrate the Fremont Festival of the Arts this weekend.

The two-day event is the “largest free street festival west of the Mississippi River,” according to the event website, and attendance is expected to total nearly 400,000 people.

From carnival rides and crafts to art for sale, live music, wine and beer, there is sure to be a number of activities for the entire family. The festivities will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 5.

The event, which debuted in 1983 and was held at the Fremont Hub, stretches from Paseo Padre between Mowry and Walnut avenues to State Street between Mowry and Beacon avenues and Capitol Avenue.
