Nor Cal Basketball Playoffs Ready To Tip Off

First round of Northern California tournament gets under way tonight

The top high school basketball teams in Northern California take the court tonight to begin the Nor Cal championships.

All the games played tonight begin at 7 p.m. The second round of games will be played on Saturday. The tournament stretches into next week with the state championships being played on March 23-24.

Here are the games tonight involving local teams.

In the Boys Division I bracket, Castro Valley High (22-7) will play at Bellarmine High (18-11).

De La Salle High has a bye in the first round.

In the Boys Division II bracket, Las Lomas High (20-10) will play at Lodi High (23-7).

Newark Memorial High has a bye in the first round.

In the Girls Division II bracket, Chico High (17-5) will play at Dougherty Valley High (20-9).

Carondelet High has a bye in the first round.
