A summary of the fourth week of the Newark Bluefins Swim Team

A wrap-up of the fourth meet of the Newark Bluefins as provided by Jody Montgomery.

Three times a charm. The Newark Bluefins triumphed for the third time in a row against the Mission Highlands Sharks on June 25, winning 581 to 462. There was no meet on the weekend of July 4.

Swimmers Victoria Gerome and Jonathan Mui won all four events, while Joey Duenas, Emmanuel Ngbemeneh, Johan Reyes and Joshua Tsai, beat their own record at 1:01.50.

Big Tuna Awards were presented for excellent effort by the coaches to the Ellie and Katie Lacaze, Emmanuel Ngbemeneh and Jacob Pearsol.

This Friday, the Newarks Bluefins compete against the Warm Springs Gators starting at 8 a.m. at 251 Goldenrain Ave., Fremont.
