OHLONE COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAME

Where/When: 43600 Mission Blvd., Fremont in the Epler Gymnasium; Friday at 7 p.m.

Why Go: It's the last home game of the season. Cheer on the team as they face San Jose City College.

Pricing: $5 general; $3 for students and staff; free for ages 12 and under

TEEN AREA

Where/When: Silliman Center's Teen Area; Friday at 4:45 p.m.

Why Go:  It's a great place for teens to go on Friday nights to participate in fun activities such as dodge ball, board games, pool tournaments and basketball.

Pricing: Drop-in admission for teens is $6; multi-day passes available

DON EDWARDS S.F. BAY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

Where/When: Newark Slough Learning Center in Fremont; Saturday at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Learn the history of the salt marshes and the plant and animal life affected by the changes. The event includes a slide show followed by a walk to view a salt marsh and the remains of a salt evaporation pond.

Pricing: Free

OPEN MIC NIGHT 

Where/When: Fremont Coffee Roasting Company; Friday at 6:30 p.m. (performances at 7 p.m.)

Why Go: Check out some local talent or try out some of your own material on a friendly crowd.

Pricing: No cover!

S3 PHOTO GROUP ACTIVITY

Where/When: Meet at Fremont Art Association Gallery; Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: If you are interested in photography and having fun, join the S3 Photo Group on their field trip to the Cataract Canyon in Marin.
