Registration for Transitional Kindergarten Class Now Open

The classes are offered for children who were too young to enroll for kindergarten this school year but turn 5-years-old by February.

Registration for transitional kindergarten class offered through the Newark Unified School District is open, according to the district's website.

The Transitional Kindergarten ABC (Academic Bridge Class) program is available for children who were too young to enroll for kindergarten during the 2012-13 school year and is or will be 5-years-old by the end of February, according to the Newark Unified School District website.

Here's more information from the district website: 

Children with birthdays that fall between the dates of November 2 and December 2 have priority. Children in this program will enter their home school’s kindergarten class for the 2013-2014 school year. The class will be from 8:20 to 12:20 Monday to Friday.

You may pick up an enrollment packet at Lincoln Elementary School at 36111 Bettencourt St. beginning November 13th. The office is open Monday through Friday between 8 and 3.  If you have questions or want additional information, please contact the Lincoln Elementary School office at 510-818-3500.
