Tara, Lovely Name by the way! Honestly, most of my School Career in NUSD was a Nightmare. But now that you mention it, a lot of the Lunch Ladies were mean Old Hags which I guess is why they got stuck doing Lunch instead of something more hands on. I will Admit that I did find one Lunch Lady in particular to be pretty cool. Her name was Pak Arunamata she was one of two Lunch Ladies at Bunker Elementary during Fifth Grade. The other one was named Marilyn Rigglesford and man did she look mean! Never Smiled, had eyes that could kill with a mere glimpse. Pak on the other hand was a Sweetie and always Smiling. Just remembering Marilyn gives me Goose Bumps. Yikes.

James Nelson you are way off the mark with Marilyn. She was the best. She made me a special lunch every day (vegeterian) at my mom's request, which was not part of the school districts program. I remember for holloween she made homemade popcorn balls for the entire school. Your desrciption of her is nothing like I remember. You must have been a trouble maker because she was a very kind lady.
