Coast Guard Visits Bunker Elementary

A U.S. Coast Guard crew visited Newark students to teach them about boat safety and the importance of math and science.

Bunker students had a chance to watch the helicopter land before a crew made presentations on boating safety and how math and science are important for individuals pursuing a Coast Guard career.

They have offered to fly a Coast Guard helicopter to Bunker and have several presentations to the students about boating safety and the importance of math and science education at it relates to careers in the Coast Guard.
