Video: Rotarians Interact in the Age of Social Media

On Tuesday, June 21, 2011, Dillon Chang, a member of the Interact District 5170, was the guest speaker at the Newark Rotary lunch meeting.  Newark Rotary meets at at. Come over and meet business and community leaders. Guests are welcome.

According to Dillon Chang:

"More than 18,000 Rotarians were present at the 2011 Rotary International Convention in New Orleans, La., along with nine Interactors from Northern California's most renown District 5170. During the convention, we [the Interactors] manned the only Interact booth targeted to inform, help, and guide Rotarians in starting or building Interact clubs in their area. While doing so, we spent countless hours and many late nights putting together our presentation/workshop called "Interact in the Age of Social Media," targeted toward building a stronger relationship between Rotarians and Interactors through means of social media, Google Docs, Facebook, Twitter; the list is endless.

What seemed to be a long, stressful, and tiring week actually turned out to be a fun- filled, worthwhile time in New Orleans. We got the opportunity to meet and converse with Rotarians literally ALL across the globe, listen in awe to Bill Gates as he talked about the eradication of polio, and finally, we all enjoyed the beauties of Bourbon Street. Just kidding!

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I am envious of all that are attending the convention at Thailand next year.”
