Need to Know: Knitting for Seniors, Election Forum, Teen Pool Tournament

  2. Are you a local teen or know of one who wants to get involved? The Newark Library’s Teen Advisory Group will be meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. The teen advisory group helps library staff learn more about what types of program and events teens would like in the library.
  3. Newark residents are invited to a on Thursday, Oct. 6. The event begins with a mayoral forum at 7 p.m., followed by a city council forum at 7:55 p.m. At 9 p.m. there will be a presentation on the The meeting will be held at , 37101 Newark Blvd.
  4. A free career event will be hosted by Chabot College on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, entitled will be presented by the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour and will include three keynote addresses, a networking event, a discussion panel, a workshop and more.
