Mary Hayashi To Run For Nadia Lockyer Seat

Assemblywoman Hayashi, who pleaded no contest to shoplifting charges, wants to replace the county supervisor who resigned in a messy scandal.

has come true: Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi hopes to shrug off her involvement in a shoplifting episode and run for the Alameda County Board of Supervisor's seat vacated by Nadia Lockyer, who .

Lockyer served as supervisor for the board's District 2 seat, which encompasses Newark, Union City and Hayward, as well as the northern part of Fremont and part of Sunol. Former Union City councilman . He, too, plans to run for the seat in November.

Reports in the Oakland Tribune and San Francisco Chronicle say Hayashi, 45, does not think her own scandal bars her from seeking elective office when term limits force her out of her Assembly seat. Hayashi pleaded no contest to shoplifting $2,450 worth of clothes from the Neiman Marcus in San Francisco's Union Square.

Hayashi told Tribune political reporter Josh Richman "the world doesn't end when you make a personal mistake."

The Chronicle reported that Hayashi, a Hayward Democrat, has more than $580,000 in campaign funds and seems to have support from campaign donors.

What do you think of Hayashi's run?

> Humans are deeply flawed, Machines by their very Nature are not. Obviously you don't remember Windows98.

Oh you mean Windows 97? Which was really just Windows 95 OSR2 (Windows 95B). I have to admit, that I didn't like Windows 98 although I loved the full MS-Dos Support. I'd have to argue that Win 98 was inherently flawed only because the Developers were idiots. They basically took a crap version of 95 and released it as 98 except with all the bugs still present. I would not fault the Machine (Hardware) for this, The type of Machine I propose for this New World, would not rely upon Windows at all! After all, It WOULD learn from History's Mistakes. This is where Windows 8 (next version) has failed. Taking the most Useful Button out of the equation. How New age of them! LOL... Of course this was just a flub if you will, as part of the Consumer Preview but it is Microcrap so I definitely wouldn't put it past them! Do you remember when Win 95 was first released to the masses and Microsoft elected to do that cheesy Commercial with the Rolling Stones singing "Start Me Up"? Getting it Started was the easy part, getting it to shutdown proved tiring. lmao.

I work in retail. People who shoplift affect my paycheck by hitting the gross margin of my store reducing the payroll available to compensate for the loss. People who think it is a victimless crime have not suffered a loss of hours to a now lower performing store. I am not voting for her. Last thing Newark needs is another scandalous issue. Let's get someone in position who will try to help us here and make Newark even better. I find it offensive that she thinks this is a minor issue that can easily be slipped under the rug. It's not. It's a character definer.

Ever cheat on a test? Ever not come to a compleate stop at a stop sign? Ever Take a Tax Deduction you realy did not have? Ever Text and Drive or use a Cell Phone while driving? Ever been given a free piece of clothing like Sears does every Tuesday at it's outlet centers? Ever had gotten home with your purchase and found they did not carge you for one of the items? What happened? You got away with it and she did not. So, your so good and she is so Bad only because she was caught? What is her Real Record? How much time has she devoted to helping others or working a "Bread Line". Judges send people out to do community Service and this is community service with a Capital "C".

Ever said you gave me change for a twenty when I gave you a five, ever said excuse me but, you didn't charge me for that steak, ever said excuse me you dropped this ten, ever turned a wallet in without taking the money. So we should just overlook her capricious character it's only a couple or so thousand dollars, it's like getting a free shirt its like scrumming an apple . Your examples are spurious at best and not to be taken seriously. She dose not deserve to hold office.
