The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark & Union City will present a forum for the 25th State Assembly nomination. Candidates Robert Wieckowski (State Assembly member), Pete McHugh (Milpitas Vice Mayor), and Arlyne Diamond (Business Owner), will face off. The 25th Assembly District was newly redrawn and includes Newark, Milpitas, Santa Clara, and Fremont (partial).
The League is a nonpartisan organization that encourages active participation of citizens in government. Our forums provide voters an opportunity to learn about candidates in a neutral setting. We strive to offer citizens a better understanding of candidates so that voters will be well informed when they vote on election day.
