Demolition Begins at Mowry Crossing

Demolition of a shopping center that once housed big box stores like Circuit City and Petsmart began Friday morning.

The demolition was spotted by Hayley Correa who shared the photo above with Newark Patch.

The shopping plaza, known as Mowry Crossing Shopping Center, has been vacant for several years and is owned by Sand Hill Property Company. The newer building that housed Mervyns will not be demolished.

Sand Hill has said they have not been able to find new tenants to fill any of the vacant spots in the center, which is located across the street from .
