About one hour after the shooting, officers found a vehicle matching the description of the one used by the suspects being driven on Thornton Avenue.

During the traffic stop, police found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and numerous rounds of ammunition in the front seat of the vehicle. The shotgun is believed to have been stolen during a residential burglary in Fremont, police said.

Both men were arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Preliminary evidence indicates that the shooting is not gang related but stems from β€œan on-going dispute between one of the suspects and one of the victims at the residence,” police said.
