The Newark Police Department processed 129 misdemeanors and felonies during the month of December. Patch compiled each of the crime reports and geocoded them to determine where the crime hot spots are.
Three spots shone brightly on the map. NewPark Mall, the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Newark Boulevard, and further down Newark Boulevard just past Cedar. Take a look at the photo above to see where the crimes were concentrated. Then watch the time lapse of all of the crimes taking place.
