An Instagram photo of a supposed Facebook post made by Sierra LaMar that went viral late Monday night is a hoax, police say.
The post depicts a Facebook user with the name and photo of the missing Morgan Hill teen stating, “please call the police he’s coming back," along with an address for a home in Saratoga, a nearby town located approximately 30 miles from Morgan Hill.
“It’s a hoax. It’s something we’ve already checked out," said a Santa Clara Sheriff Deputy who only gave his last name as Basset.
A second photo emerged early Tuesday morning in which the user identifies a man as her captor and requests that "someone call Breanna please" and continues to read "please someone call I have to go before he gets back..omg please."
According to the San Jose Mercury News, authorities said the posts were made by a person who hacked into the teen's Facebook account.
Fake accounts linked to Sierra have been made in the past, with the missing Fremont native's .
Sierra was last seen March 16.
Though Sierra has not been located, authorities believe the teen is no longer alive based on evidence gathered from the vehicle of suspect , 21, of Morgan Hill.
Garcia-Torres was arrested on May 21 and with one count of murder with the special circumstance of kidnapping. He is expected to return to court July 31.

However with Modern Technology and especially after 9/11 Such Actions are deemed "Terrorist" in Nature so people can use Services such as Facebook and Twitter without fear of Consequence because they can remain "Anonymous" or so they think. In Reality, everyone can be Tracked Online as we all leave a Digital Footprint. Anyway that's a Lesson for another time! So it may be Disgusting that someone did this and got caught, but there's thousands of similar situations that are played out on hundreds of Social Networks everyday. Unfortunately, there's no Crime against being stupid.

There's something about this guy that troubles me- I believe in DNA evidence 100% .... i find it quite unlikely that this guy just "happens" to drive by her house at the "moment" sierra walks out her front door & he's able to approach her & seize her all before leaving her driveway? she HAD to know him..maybe they were acquainted/dated? maybe? that makes better sense to me. But regardless-he needs to give her location-you're going DOWN boy just do the right thing now!
