DRUGS
Newark police made two arrests connected with drug possession this weekend.

Officers arrested a 39-year-old man Saturday afternoon, Dec. 18, for alleged methamphetamine possession.
On Sunday morning, Dec. 19, officers conducted a probation search at a home on Wells Avenue. Then officers arrested a 23-year-old woman for alleged possession of 1.7 grams of methamphetamine, 4 pounds of marijuana and syringes.

BURGLARY
On Friday afternoon, Dec. 17, officers investigated a residential burglary on Ebbetts Street.
THEFT
Inside NewPark Mall, officers arrested two people for alleged shoplifting at Macy's on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 19.
OTHER CRIMES
Officers arrested one man after checking out reports of a possible fight near Central Avenue and Filbert Street Friday night, Dec. 17. Officers say a vehicle collided head-on with a tree on Central Avenue around 11 p.m. No injuries were reported. According to the activity log, a 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public and refusing to follow officers' orders.
Officers investigated a disturbance report at a vendor table inside NewPark Mall before 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19.
Nearly thirty minutes later, officers arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly being drunk outside of a 7-Eleven Store.
