Police: Robber Punches 77-year-old Man in Face

are searching for a man they say punched a 77-year-old man in the face after grabbing his cash and iPhone on Tenaya Avenue last night.

Officers say the victim suffered minor swelling and bruising in the face.

According to the police activity log, the robbery happened around 5:35 p.m. Wednesday outside of a home on the 5100 block of Tenaya Avenue. The victim told officers he was standing in front of his driveway when he was robbed of his money clip and iPhone.

Officers say that's when the suspect punched the victim in the face and ran away from the scene.

Officers describe the suspect as a black man standing 6 feet tall and wearing a dark blue fleece shirt.
