Police Search For Purse-Snatching Duo

No injuries were reported.

Police are searching for two individuals after a woman's purse was pulled away from her Monday afternoon, according to Newark police.

The woman reported that her purse was snatched from one of two people who rode by on bicycles while she was on the 6300 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue, according to a press release.Β 

Police officers responded to the area around 3:48 p.m., approximately 15 minutes after the report of the strong-arm robbery came in.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the duo is believed to be in their late teens and were both on bikes. One was described as a black male with dreadlocks who was wearing a white T-shirt. No weapons were seen.

Monday's strong-arm robbery comes nearly two weeks after a woman was robbed of her purse at the to read more about that Jan. 4 incident.
