Police Nab Suspected Nob Hill Robbers

Four people detained after reported robbery at Nob Hill Foods.

Police detained four people in connection to a suspected Nob Hill Foods robbery Tuesday night, Livermore Police Sgt. Jason Boberg said.

At around 9:42 p.m. police received a report of a robbery at the grocery store on 919 East Stanley Boulevard.

Police were told two black males entered the business and took off with items after shoving a person to the floor and using other "bodily force," Boberg said.

The suspects were seen leaving the area in a white Ford Expedition.

A patrol officer later spotted the vehicle traveling on the 100 block of Airway Boulevard and stopped the suspects.

Two other people in the vehicle were also detained by police.

Police found numerous retail items, gift cards and toiletries in the vehicle that were reported stolen from the business, Boberg said.

Officials also said witnesses played a key role in detaining suspects by providing descriptions of the robbers and vehicle.

"Far too often suspects in these cases get away," Boberg said. "In this case witnesses provided valuable information that led to arrests."

they sell the gift cards for half the cost of the supposed value and the idiot who buys the card finds out later it was never activated.

Way to go LPD, and to the witnesses that helped in the process of the arrest by giving the descriptions of the suspects and vehicle involved. PD can't always do the hard work alone, so it's good some citizens stepped up! Kudos to all involved!

Thank You LPD, I am glad to hear praise for you instead of some of the negative I read here. The public needs to help and support the PD and not expect them to do the job of law enforcement alone as you have limited numbers to do the job.
