Police Log: Lockdown Related to Murders, Woman Robbed of Necklace

East Palo Alto police stated the lockdown was related to a multi-county car chase that began in Newark as part of a search for two men believed to be connected to a series of homicides. for more details on that incident.

7 Eleven Robbed

Police are searching for a man who robbed 7 Eleven early in the morning of Sunday, July 31. Police said the man, who was wearing a mask, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash and a pack of cigarettes. He fled on foot. to read about the armed robbery.

Woman Mugged, Necklace Taken

A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, July 26, on suspicion of robbery after a woman and two young children were approached by himnear McDonald's on Mowry Avenue, police said. The man ripped a necklace from the woman’s neck and fled on food, but a citizen chased the man down and detained him until police arrived, authorities said. No injuries were reported.

Man Punches Mirror While Drunk

A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, July 26 on suspicion of vandalism and public intoxication at Gubrera’s Pub. He may have punched the mirror in the men’s bathroom and was intoxicated to the point where he could not care for himself, police said.

Fight at Home Depot

A 53-year-old man and a 51-year-old man were arrested on Tuesday, July 26 on suspicion of battery after they fought at Home Depot, police said. Each man placed the other under citizen's arrest.

Miscellaneous

A 19-year-old woman was cited on Friday, July 29 on suspicion of being a minor driving under the influence near Jarvis Avenue and Hayley Street.

A 26-year-old man was arrested Saturday, July 30, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and having a blood alcohol content level above the legal limit. He was booked into Fremont Jail.
