It's not your "medicine" it's your lifestyle. If your life revolves around this plant so much, perhaps you should move to Washington or Colorado.

You are entitled to your opinion Tim, and I respect that. But tell that to people with aids or people that go to chemo 3x a week that have no appetite or people that are in constant pain from arthritis which unfortunately I suffer from. It does have its benefits when used for the right reason.

Agreed, however, there is a large percentage of users of marijuana that have zero medical need but claim it nonetheless. I'm suggesting that if it's that big of a deal that perhaps a change of venue will suit these individuals... sort of like those with respiratory issues in humid areas move to drier regions of the southwest. Voters in CA said "no" to recreational use... voters in WA and CO said "yes".

Easier said then done, not everyone has the luxury of packing up and moving where the weather suits them better, although I get your point about the ones who abuse the medical need factor.

Possession of marijuana for sale is a FELONY, not a misdemeanor. Mere possession up to 28.5 grams of marijuana is an INFRACTION (same as a basic traffic citation) and a low, low, low fine of $100. That being said it would appear the lad had more and had it packaged for sale in violation of Health and Safety Code 11360 which is a FELONY and punishable by a term of imprisonment in a county jail for 16 months, or two or three years. If he had it packaged for sale as alleged (he's innocent until PROVEN guilty) he's well outside the scope of the medical marijuana law. He's not a patient if he's selling and he's not a caregiver if a Judge issued a warrant for his arrest based on the probable cause the police presented to the Judge. There are a myriad ways of possessing and selling marijuana in California without getting arrested or having warrants issued for your arrest. The youngster isn't the sharpest tool in the shed if he doesn't do his due diligence in protecting himself by abiding by the Medical Marijuana Laws. I guess he'll learn a hard lesson very soon.
