Pizza Snatched from Little Caesars, Man Sought

Police said employees ran out of the store and customers witnessed the male suspect taking one pizza before fleeing.

Talk about take out that's "Hot-N-Ready."

Police are searching for a man who customers said took one – without paying.

No injuries were reported and police did not say that a weapon was seen during the incident.

A call of a robbery in progress was called into the Newark Police Department around 9:30 p.m. Sunday and when officers arrived they learned a man had walked in the restaurant off of Jarvis Avenue and sprung across the front counter, police said.

But before the man could say what he wanted, the “employees began screaming and ran out of the back door leaving a bunch of stunned customers waiting in line,” according to a statement released by Newark police

The man then grabbed one pizza and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a black, zip-up hooded sweater.
