A 21-year-old man who was killed near the Dumbarton Bridge in Fremont on Friday night has been identified as Luis Geraldo Angulo, of Santa Clara, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
Geraldo was reportedly walking near the westbound lanes of state Highway 84 in the proximity of the bridge when he was struck by a vehicle at about 10:20 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident remains under investigation by the CHP.
