Pair Robbed at Gunpoint While in Car

Police are still searching for the suspects of the Monday night armed robbery.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Newark Monday night.

The victims were sitting in their car outside their residence on Joaquin Murrieta Ave. around 9:26 p.m. when two men approached them, one armed with a handgun, and robbed them.

A watch, a cellphone and a women's purse were stole from the victims, police said.

Both suspects fled the scene and are believed to have been in a white, four-door Buick, with taillights that run across the entire back of the vehicle, the victims told police. The two victims were uninjured, police said.
