Pair of Men Sought After Two Home Burglaries

The two were last seen fleeing in a mid-1990s, green Lexus.

Police are searching for two men after a pair of homes were burglarized within 30 minutes Tuesday evening.

The first burglary was reported around 6:50 p.m. on the 35800 block of Spruce Street after burglars entered the home through a rear window, according to Newark police.

While police were investigating, the second burglary was reported on the 6100 block of Marguerite Drive.

Police said the homeowner interrupted the second burglary.

No arrests have been made, but police are following up on leads, according to Sgt. Ray Hoppe.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males in their early 20s. They were both last seen wearing white T-shirts and one was wearing a cowboy style hat. Police said it is believed they fled in a mid-1990s, green Lexus.
