The pair of suspects fled, but not for long. Police said they returned twice, and slashed tires and broke windows of the Newark man’s car.

Witnesses gave police a plate number for the suspects’ vehicle and police learned the car was registered to a Union City address. The pair was arrested from their home on Miramonte Way on suspicion of robbery, according to court online documents.

Both men were booked into Santa Rita Jail and are being held on $100,000 bail each, according to online court records. They are scheduled for an arraignment at the Fremont Hall of Justice at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
