Osana Futi Case: Suspect To Enter Plea
A Fremont man charged with the murder of a Newark man is scheduled for a plea hearing Thursday.
The 18-year-old man who is of a Newark student could enter a plea as early as Thursday.
Abraham Ibrahim Hade of Fremont is facing one count of murder with a gang enhancement for the stabbing death of Osana Futi, an 18-year-old Newark Memorial High School senior.
He is scheduled to appear at the Fremont Hall of Justice at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Hade last appeared in court on May 2 at which time his attorney Thomas Knutsen requested that Hade’s .
Hade was who police say are facing charges related to being accessories to homicide. Police described the juveniles as a 13-year-old male, 14-year-old male and 16-year-old female.

All four suspects were arrested in connection to Futi’s killing.
Futi was found around 11:20 p.m. April 28. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead around 1:20 a.m. April 29.
Relatives and friends have mourned the Newark student since his death and the community is invited to funeral services being held in honor of him this week.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd. in Fremont, and a memorial service will be held Friday starting at 6 p.m. at the Event Center, 39375 Cedar Blvd. in Newark.
