Update: Fremont-Decoto Intersection Opens After Multiple Vehicle Accident

An elderly driver ran a red light and crashed into three cars and two motorcycles, police said.

The intersection of Fremont Boulevard and Decoto Road in Fremont is now open following a multiple vehicle accident that sent two people to the hopsital, Fremont police said.

The accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. when an elderly man with a possible medical condition ran a red light and crashed into three cars and two motorcycles, according to police.

The elderly man and another victim were transported to local hospitals for treatment, authorities added. 

The intersection was shut down temporarily but reopened at about 4:30 p.m.

Elderly? As in older than 65? Medical condition? What, warts? I know this is just the Patch but come on!
