Minors Targeted by Alleged Robber at Fremont Hub

A 21-year-old Fremont man was arrested after police say he tried to rob five minors and followed one while holding a knife.

A man was arrested after he attempted to rob five minors as they were leaving fast food restaurant located in a well-known Fremont shopping center Monday night, police said.

Alfredo Hurtado, 21, of Fremont, was arrested on suspicion of robbery after police were called to the Fremont Hub Shopping Center around 8:18 p.m. to a report an attempted armed robbery, according to Fremont Police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.

The man approached the group of minors while they were waiting at a bus stop in front of Pizza Hut and said “give me your money” but the minors refused and the suspected robber “threatened to fight them,” Bosques said.

Four of the victims fled by boarding a bus and the fifth victim began walking home. As the minor turned around to demand that the suspect stop following him, the victim said the man was holding a small knife, Bosques said.

The suspect stopped following the minor when a car drove by, police said, but Fremont police found him in the area and booked him into Fremont Jail.

I remember as a teacher buying my own supplies. Looking back I don't regret buying anything andRead More realize that each person's teaching style is different. The things I might buy for my classroom would be totally different than you. Running a classroom is a lot like running a business, there are expenses and you just have to deal with that.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.
