Man Suffers Head Injury Near Bar, Investigation Slowed By Drunken Witnesses

Police found the man injured at Newark Square on Sunday.

A man was found suffering from a head injury outside of near around 1:45 a.m. Sunday and was transported to Eden Medical Center, police said.

One was arrested but police were unable to conduct an investigation because of a lack of cooperation and a high level of intoxication from the witnesses, police said.

Whiskeytown Owner Mary Ballard said the fight ensued outside of the bar, not inside, and that the individuals who were involved in the fight had been drinking out in the parking lot near the bar before the fight.
