Man Attacks Father on Potrero Drive
Police said the victim was treated at a local hospital.
A 34-year-old Newark man was arrested after he attacked his father with a large rock around 4 p.m.
Police said the man is restrained from his parents but that he demanded to enter his parents’ home on the 3900 block of Potrero Drive on Saturday afternoon.
His mother refused to let him in and the man proceeded to beat on the front door, police said.

When the man’s father arrived home, police said the suspect attacked his father, knocked him on the ground and punched him in the face and head. Police said the man stopped when police arrived.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of violating a lawful restraining order and the father was treated at a local hospital.
