I found out tonight, at our school reunion. I am bereft, I am shocked, and I have lost a very dear friend. From tears and smiles I will remember you Joy. Julie we only met once in 1992. You wore pink and I wore emerald green. We laughed and were introduced. I know two things! She did not leave this life without a fight, she would never hurt anyone in this manner. She loved deeply, and completely, she was committed, even as her friend in school and after for a while, we lost touch. Memories she has left, she will be deeply missed, my prayers, my compassion, and grief are deep. With love, Joy Rest in Peace, from all your friends from around the world. Evelyn

My sympathy goes out to Joy's friends and family... I am finding it harder and harder to believe this was an intentional "fall" :(

What? A suicide? Do you have video footage that shows her jumping? Because that is the only way I believe you can justify the statements of investigating it as a "suicide". If so, please let the rest of the world know, because there are a lot of people believing otherwise. She was a happy woman, in love with her partner of 21 years and their 6 year old son, whom she loved with all her heart and soul. Someone please say something in reference to the autopsy results and or surveillance results in the area near the body's discovery.

Anonymous August 1 - the public hasn't been told anything other than about the day she was found. They don't have autopsy results yet. We all know that investigations take lots of time. The local newspaper will probably follow-up after all is done. The Pleasanton article mentions suicide as a possible cause. There can b many things that could have happened. Hit and run, many causes....I am certain I speak for many people when I send heartfelt condolences to Joy's family and friends. Please know you are thought of, though you need privacy and space at this difficult time.
