CHP Issues High Wind Advisories for Dumbarton, Other Bay Area Bridges

The Bay Area is forecast to be breezy today, with rain likely and isolated thunderstorms expected.

Bay City News—High wind advisories are in effect for several Bay Area bridges this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

An advisory was issued for the Benicia-Martinez Bridge at around 3 a.m. and advisories for the San Mateo-Hayward, Dumbarton, and Bay bridges continue from early this morning.

The National Weather Forecast calls for 60 percent chance of rain in Newark today. The agency says some storms may produce small hall. Before the rain, Newark may see partly sunny skies with a high near 56 degrees. 

Lows are expected to be in the lower 40s, with northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, becoming north winds of around 10 mph after midnight.
