"This is an opportunity to serve alongside some of California’s finest, who provide the highest level of safety, service and security throughout the state," said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow.
"A career with a law enforcement agency like the CHP offers unlimited opportunities for someone who is looking for a challenge," he added.
Applications will only be accepted online during a three-day period beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
Commissioner Farrow said the ideal candidate is a U.S. citizen without felony convictions with at least a high school diploma. They will consider applicants aged 20-35. All candidates will have to pass written and physical tests in addition to a background investigation.
