Burglary Suspect Flees After Resident Sees Him in Garage
Police say the suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black man in his 40s with a short beard.
Police are searching for a man after a resident reported his home was burglarized Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The resident said he heard a loud bang coming from his front door around 12:45 p.m. on the 35500 block of Haley Avenue and that shortly after, the resident went into the home's garage and was confronted by the male suspect, according to a press release.
The suspect fled over a fence. He was described as a black man who is 6-feet tall in his 40s with a short beard. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, police said.

Thursday's burglary occurred just two days after a pair of residential burglaries were reported in Newark.
