Four people are displaced from a garage fire at a Newark home on Tuesday night, an Alameda County battalion chief said.

Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 6200 block of Cotton Avenue shortly after 10:35 p.m., Battalion Chief Stephanie Radecke said. The garage attached to the home was fully involved in flames but quickly put out before 10:45 p.m., Radecke said.

The fire in the single-story home displaced two adults and two children, according to Radecke. No vehicles were inside the garage during the fire, she said. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
