Upgraded To Smartphone

Long Story short? My Old School (less modern) Cell Phone decided to tempt fate and believe it could Swim in of all places the Toilet. It couldn't.

After much dilly dally at my Carriers Store and ill advice on behalf of the salesmen to get me to get the $500 Smartphone because it "Just fits a guy like me", I settled on an Entry Level Nokia Lumia.

I never really cared much for Smartphones, I prefer old Technology. A Testament to this was my previous cell phone running on a 2 g CMDA.

I've had the new phone less than 24 hours and already love it. It's far exceeded my expectations, especially after all the crap reviews posted Online about it.

I'll be posting my own full length review on my Website which I may or may not port over to my Patch Blog just in time for Thanksgiving.

My only gripe is that I had to pay $118 + Tax and Activiation for it. My Carrier explained the $79 was ONLY if I added it as a New Line to my Account. Still, I got it cheaper than it's list price, but that still bothered me.

It IS a non Contract Phone though which makes up for the cost issue.
