Russians Attacking

Nope, just a Power Outage caused by a Residential Fire over on Farwell in Fremont.

So far this morning, I've heard my Neighbors suggest the Russians were Attacking, Invasion by Aliens and the City of Newark plotting a conspiracy to force us to pay more money for Electricity, by cutting off our Electricity forget the fact that it's PG&E who controls it.

Meanwhile, as per usual Patch doesn't have squat about the reason the southern side of Newark was without Power this morning.

Then again when you have a New Editor every week, I suppose it's hard to report on things as they happen!

I remember when Newark Patch had it's thumb on the local pulse and was breaking local news left and right at the drop of a dime.

These days, we get to settle for the Bay News Reports or the many outside Editors talking about crap that has NOTHING to do about our Community.

Oh, how Newark Patch has devolved into a crap shoot. Patch I'm disappointed in you AND AOL, seriously AOL has been around for over a decade and their products STILL SUCK and yet Patch was born from what came of that Suckage.

I used to have high hopes and high praises for Patch, but hell I could just go back to reporting on the news myself, at least then I'd have the Story first, and not have to wait hours or days until someone at Patch gets around to it!

I used to believe that people who became Journalists did so, because they loved what they do, but it's become more apparent each day that Journalism is just another Job that pays the bills.

When someone is reporting the news, they should be ready to break in with something 24/7 no matter how big or minor and yet whether the Medium is Newspaper, Radio, Television, or Websites Professional Journalists lolly gag or wait until their personal lives are complete.

This isn't what Journalism is about! It's about getting the Facts, and Reporting on them at the drop of a dime!
